Feeding and Supporting Those in Need

Welcome back to our annual Ramadan Fundraiser.

We are the Abwaan Chronicles Podcast Team. Every Ramadan we raise funds to sponsor the education of youth in Somalia. By the grace of Allah, we have raised enough money last year to support them this year. For that reason, we decided to fundraise to support our fellow Muslims during Ramadan by raising funds to purchase food and essential materials (as needed) for families in Senegal, Yemen & Somalia.

Please visit the GoFundMe page here to donate.

"(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: 'We feed you for the sake of God Alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.'" - The Holy Quran, 76:8-9

Detailed breakdown of expenses below:

Senegal: The following will be purchased for 10 families in need total = $1000

1 bag of rice = $19.43

50 packs of powdered milk = $10.28

1 jug of oil = $12

Onions =$14.85

Coffee/sugar/flour = $90 (buy one of the three depending on the need)

The remaining $320 remaining will be for Iftar meals.

Yemen: Due to the destruction of Taiz a lot of people have had to relocate to places with scarce resources, with this money we hope to provide a means for them to purchase food, clean water, and medicine. As of now, we are helping people on an individual basis. We have 23 families we want to help with $4000.

Somalia: We will be providing iftaar & buying food for around 25 masakeen families in Cadaado, Somalia ($1000).

Each family will receive a package of food items (Flour, rice, sugar, oil). Each package is valued at $35 and consists of the following;

12 kg rice

12 kg sugar

12 kg flour

4 L oil

We are hoping to end the campaign before the last 10 days so families can receive the funds during Ramadan. Once funds are raised and sent. We will (as usual) show you all where your donations have gone. If we fall short of our goal, we will distribute the funds among the different groups as needed in sha Allah.

May Allah reward you all!

Best,

The Abwaan Chronicles Team
